  Established in 1985, Xiamen International Bank (XIB)www.xib.com.cn is the first joint venture bank in China. Until the end of 2010, its shareholders include domestic shareholders such as Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited, Fujian Investment & Enterprise Holdings Corporation, Xiamen C&D Corporation Limited, as well as overseas shareholders including Min Xin Holdings Limited, Asian Development Bank, Shinsei Bank, Limited and Sino Finance Group Limited.
 
  Based in Xiamen, XIB operates wholly-owned subsidiaries including Xiamen International Investment Limited (XIIL) in Hong Kong and Luso International Banking Limited (LIB) which runs ten branches in Macau. In Mainland China, XIB operates sixteen establishments in cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Fuzhou, Zhuhai, Xiamen, etc, and one representative office in Quanzhou. So far, the Bank has established correspondent relationships with nearly 300 banks from more than 60 countries and regions, with its globally service network gradually expanding.
 
  At present, XIB has been officially granted the licenses on full-range foreign exchange business operation and corporate RMB business operation as well as the qualification for financial derivatives dealing, which entitle the Bank to offer not only full-range foreign exchange business for individual clients, but also comprehensive business (including RMB business) for corporate customers and offshore personal customers.
