The project will be carried out in stages with a total planned investment of 30 billion yuan for the construction of nickel alloy production base, which will eventually reach an annual production scale of over 3 million tons of hot and cold rolled stainless steel coils and strips. It has formed one of the large-scale nickel alloy production bases in China, filled the gap of nickel alloy production in Fujian Province, and played a demonstrative role in the economic construction of Luoyuan Bay port industrial zone on the west coast of the Strait.
The company has acquired or participated in a number of overseas mines and shipping companies, making full use of overseas mineral resources, forming a complete industrial chain of mine-smelting - rough processing - fine processing - product processing, and has coking, warehousing, logistics and other related supporting projects. The first phase of the construction project is an annual output of 920 thousand tons of nickel Ni5-25 nickel alloy and 820 thousand tons of hot-rolled stainless steel strip. The project investment is more than 4.5 billion yuan, which is the key project under construction in Fujian province in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
The construction project began to fill in the beach in October 2005, and began construction in October 2006. In March 2009, the project with an annual output of 820,000 tons of hot-rolled stainless steel coil and strip was completed for trial production. At the end of the same year, the project with an annual output of 920,000 tons of nickel alloy was completed for trial production. Project introduced advanced smelting in Ukraine patent technology, make full use of laterite nickel ore resources abroad, the development of cascade utilization of low-grade laterite nickel ore, the investment of projects focus on environmental protection facilities, soot emissions, solid waste treatment, wastewater treatment, waste acid treatment, and eliminate noise and other environmental protection facilities account for 20% of the investment in fixed assets. The project adopts heat transmission, continuous rolling, heating system, energy-saving regenerative heating furnace, blast furnace gas recovery and utilization, motor frequency conversion and a series of energy-saving processes to achieve the purpose of energy saving and consumption reduction.
After the first phase of the project is completed, it will produce 920 thousand tons of nickel alloy and 820 thousand tons of nickel alloy hot rolled strip annually. An increase of over 10 billion yuan in annual industrial output.
With an investment of 8.7 billion yuan in the second phase construction project, the annual production of 250,000 tons of nickel 15-40 nickel alloy, 400,000 tons of cold-rolled stainless steel and 2 million tons of hot-rolled nickel alloy plate will be achieved.
